Strategic alliance May 1st 2010 Kardex (KARN), known for its
automated storage and retrieval
technology, has announced that it
has appointed Allied Ireland as a
strategic distribution partner in
Ireland and Northern Ireland. The
partnership also gives Allied Ireland
the status of being Kardex's sole
distributor in Ireland.
Recognised for its expertise in the
industrial marketplace and ability to
provide a comprehensive design and
technical service to customers,
Kardex has accredited Allied Ireland
to deliver the full range of products
in the Kardex portfolio, with
immediate effect.
"This business partnership will
give Allied Ireland the opportunity
to discuss with its existing customers
a vast new range of market leading
products, in conjunction with
offering them increased levels of
consultancy service," said Richard
Price, UK and Ireland sales manager
at Kardex.
"The level of knowledge that the
Allied Ireland team has in the
automation space really impressed
us. When adding to that its heritage
and reputation in this field it was
clear that a distribution partnership
would be beneficial to all."
Tim Evans, director of Allied
Ireland, added: "The Kardex
products are designed to increase
productivity, optimise storage space
and improve efficiency; all of which
are business issues that our
customers are continually
addressing, and are keen to resolve.
"A good example of just one of the
very real and immediate benefits that
this partnership will bring will be in
warehousing and distribution as we
can now provide comprehensive
advice, designs and solutions for
both bulk stock items and fast
moving multiple stock items."
Allied Ireland specialises in
industrial and office storage and
materials handling. It is a wholly
owned Irish company that was
formed in 1997 and, since 1998, is
the sole distributor in Ireland for
