Burning waste
March 1st 2010

BOSE GP IRELAND, one the world's largest manufacturer's of speakers and home cinema systems has purchased a Talbotts wood energy system to reduce their wood waste Landfill charges and energy costs.

The Talbott C6 1MW Warm Air system provides factory space heating for areas up to 50,000 sq.ft. while using approximately 4800 kg per day of on site generated wood waste.

Greg Tipping, engineering manager for BOSE decided that investing in this technology was one of the most effective ways to reduce operational costs and with project finance will achieve a pay-back within 2 years. The automated system incorporates a 70m3 storage silo, Untha LR 1400 shredder, discharge and C6 warm Air Heater, which has been integrated into a dust extraction system provided by Air Plants Dust Extraction of Leicester.
