Low carbon products
August 1st 2010 Hoval's portfolio of low carbon
products includes biomass boilers,
solar heating systems and air-source
heat pumps. The range also includes
control systems to enable these
different renewable technologies to
work with each other, and with
conventional condensing boilers.
Hoval's BioLyt (26 - 160kW) and
STU (150 - 1200kW) wood pellet
and Forester (180 - 2000kW) wood
chip biomass boilers offer high
efficiencies (to 95%) and high levels
of automation.
All biomass boilers can be fitted
with a new CF ceramic filter for
removing particulate emissions in
line with the latest air quality
legislation. CF filters can also be
retrofitted to biomass boilers.
Independent testing of Hoval's
Belaria air-source, air-to-water heat
pumps has confirmed a Coefficient
of Performance of 3.8, which is said
to be the highest efficiency ever
measured for air to water heat pumps
at the Buchs Interstate Technical
University NTB. The modular
Belaria range has operating
temperatures to 55°C and comes in
seven variants with heating capacities
