Robotic pallet wrapping
March 1st 2009

Offering a new concept in robotic pallet wrapping designed to increase efficiency in production and logistics operations,Walsall Engineering Group has reached an agreement to act as sales and engineering partner to BEMA in the UK and Irish markets.

The BEMA stretch wrapping machines available through Walsall Engineering range from the Silkworm LS, a fixed column machine operating at up to 50 pallets/hr, through to the Silkworm BiTurbo, incorporating a Fanuc robot to achieve up to 160 pallets/hr.

BEMA's sophisticated wrapping head is said to attain pre-stretch ratios in the range of 300 to 450%.

Film savings are further enhanced by the 1000mm film width, which requires fewer wraps and results in less film overlap.
