Effective perception March 1st 2009 A new earplug from uvex is reported
to have resolved problems of
increased body-noise perception,
wearer discomfort and excessive noise
attenuation which can prevent the
wearer from hearing warning signals
and normal communication.
Called hi-com, the uvex design has
been registered for a patent, and
allows effective perception of voice
communication and warning signals.
It also significantly reduces the
annoying and distracting inner
sounds which other earplugs reflect
back to the ear-drum.
The surface area of the uvex hicom
includes a number of
indentations which increase
absorbency and create a softer
acoustic profile. This improves wearer
comfort and makes communication
between workers much easier. More articles from UVEX UK Ltd: |
