October 1st 2009 Metal detection specialist Mettler-
Toledo Safeline has enhanced its
Profile software platform. The new
software package, developed in
cooperation with food safety standard
organisations and retailers, is reported
to allow manufacturers to increase
productivity, reduce manufacturing
costs and improve competitiveness.
Enhancements to metal detection
sensitivity provide high levels of
security. Improvements of up to 50%
can be achieved against competing
products, it is claimed.
The Change-Free mode enables the
individual profile of multiple
products to be clustered together and
inspected at a single setting, while the
Condition Monitoring feature
constantly monitors the detector's
performance and warns of potential
