Stretching line retrofit August 1st 2010 Southeast Germany-based Brückner
Servtec has chosen ProfiNet and
Vacon AC drives for a retrofitting
project on a film stretching line.
With the ProfiNet (OPTCP)
fieldbus for the Vacon NX range of
AC drives, a single Ethernet
connection can be used to control the
AC drive via the PLC, while the Vacon
NCDrive tool can be used to diagnose
or tune the drive simultaneously.
The computer running the Vacon
NCDrive can be located at the factory
– in the control room for example –
at the Brückner Servtec headquarters,
at Vacon headquarters in Finland, or
wherever the drive expert is available
and there is internet access. This
ensures a quick response to all driverelated
issues such as tuning or
troubleshooting. A firewall ensures
only authorised persons have access.
Brückner Servtec chose Vacon
NXC cabinet drives to power the new
main extruder and two new coextruders,
which play an important
role in film stretching: extruders have
a significant impact on the stretching
process and on the layer structure of
the end film. |
