Continuous monitoring of chlorine August 1st 2010 Athenea is a chlorine monitoring
system for potable water networks
from Halma Water Management. An
autonomous, battery powered
analyser, it provides continuous
monitoring of concentration levels
and transmits data automatically via
cellular telemetry. This reduces the
need for on-site spot testing.
The product uses amperometric
technology for chlorine measurement,
and records pH and temperature
levels for accurate analysis. A full
battery charge will provide power for
at least 6 months.
By drawing fresh water from the
network for each reading, results are
always current, and as no chemicals
are used in the test, water can be reintroduced
into the network or
siphoned off as waste. More articles from Halma Water Management: |
