Low energy cooling
October 1st 2010 EcoCoolers from EcoCooling are
suitable both for retrofit and new
build applications. They provide a
safe, low cost alternative to
refrigeration-based cooling for the
comfort cooling of factories, offices,
warehouses and server rooms.
They are low in carbon output
and have low energy requirements.
One EcoCooler covering an area of
250m2 or a 30m diameter circle is
said to be able to provide 35kW of
cooling from just 1.5kW of electricity.
The combined utility cost works out,
says EcoCooling, at less than 12p/h.
For a 100kW server room, this could
represent an annual saving of
£35,000 and more than 200t of
carbon. Payback is under a year in
most cases.
Units have an advanced control
system and can be connected to an
existing BMS. Carbon Trust loans are
available. |
