August 1st 2009 Mettler Toledo Garvens has launched
a new system to help fight product
counterfeiting in the pharmaceutical
industry. The XMV Mark + Vision
System offers full traceability and
security using unique serial numbers,
fulfiling legal requirements such as Epedigree,
Track & Trace and
Serialisation.
The XMV system marks collapsible
boxes and verifies the printed product
code using a high resolution camera.
The stored data provides key
information to comply
with laws requiring proof
of quality. Only codes
which can be
'perfectly read'
by the optical
verification unit
are allowed to
continue
travelling in the
