Minimal oil
October 1st 2009

According to Bielomatik a typical 'wet'machine may use 10 to 10,000 litres/hour of lubricant depending on application; whilst much is recycled, overall losses can amount to between 3 and 15 litres/hour.

With Bielomatik Minimal Quantity Lubrication (MQL) system oil consumption can drop significantly to between 100 and 150ml/hour. Apart from reducing the amount of lubricant used, with MQL it is easier to dispose of metal cuttings since they are virtually oilfree and machine performance is enhanced, particularly in terms of production time.
