Gliding cable carriers
August 1st 2010 Kabelschlepp's gliding cable carriers
can be used to bridge long,
unsupported travels, as a recent
application demonstrates. On the
laser cutting machine in a shipyard,
long unsupported travels needed to be
bridged. Requirements for the cable
carrier systems were high ambient
temperatures and high additional
loads, combined with the need for
reliability and short maintenance
downtime. Kabelschlepp offered a
solution based on glide shoes made of
abrasion-resistant plastic material.
Glide shoes are available for the
plastic Uniflex Advanced 1555 and the
